The Transmission you have didn't come out until the "G" models. The fact that the engine is a turbo doesn't really matter in that they were around even on the early 450s. 1984 John Deere 550A dozer with a 3 speed power shift transmission engages slowly into reverse, approximately 3 to 5 seconds, and almost immediately in forward. In reverse it seems to engage fully, no power loss or slipping. I changed the filter, oil level is good. The problem seems to have began with in the last 20 operating hours.
