Jun 29, 2011 · Bought a loader for a Ford 8N (actually 2N if it makes any difference) Now we have to figure out how to mount it. We don't think the tractor has ever had one mounted before. Haven't been able to find a manuf plate on the loader either, so no idea who made it. All we know is that the seller had it on an 8N.

1949 Ford 8N - 8N with 2000 loader! I bought this Ford 9N/8n hybrid 3 years ago with a makeshift loader on it. I completely redesigned and remanufactured the loader attachment in the winter of 2000. It moves anything! I believe the engine is a 49 Ford 8N, but it has a 3 speed trans with other Ford 9N parts. thanks for a great website Doug; 1951

Before ordering determine whether your tractor has the early cast front axle support as used on all 9N and early 2N tractors or the later two piece stanped steel support used on the late 2N and all 8N tractors. Hangers for the 9N style support require a longer axle pin and the 8N hanger will not work with the early axle supports.
